DALY (GEORGE EDWARD)
Devoted husband of Gill for 54 years. Father of William and Georgina. Grandpa of Thomas, Christian and Samantha. Great Grandpa of Archer. George left us on 14 March 2020 after a long illness.
He has fought the good fight. He has finished the race. At last there is no more suffering.
Forever loved and in our hearts.

My darling George, you were the love of my life, there are no words that I can write, except that you will be my dream, my symphony, my own lovers' theme.
We will be together Forever and Ever, and we will go on even though Our Forever has gone.

Dad, we will never forget the amazing journey you took us on with all of your horses. It started with James Street, and then Little Imagele, and we almost climbed the Everest with Vega Magic. You introduced me to fitness at a young age and I'll never forget the 5BX exercise program you taught me. Your 'Wise Words of Wisdom' echo still today: "Son, if you ever get into a fight, get the first one in and make sure it's a good one, so they don't get back up!" and, of course, "there's no such word as, 'can't'".
Dad, you fought the good fight right to the end, and it's fitting that you finished your last race on a Saturday, a day on which you enjoyed so much success at the races. It's no coincidence that your racing colours of Hot Pink and Royal Blue Quarters and Black Sleeves saluted 4 times in your final week.
At last there is no more suffering and you can now rejoin all of your great thoroughbreds that passed before you.
We miss you dearly. Love your son William, Granddaughter Samantha, Renee, Naomi and Stefanie.

It is so hard to say goodbye, George. Your good counsel, acerbic wit, and determination will shape our memories of you. May you bask in freedom from the pain you have endured so bravely.

Dearly loved brother of Wally and Vickey Burns and husband of Gill, brother-in-law of Maureen.
George passed away Saturday 14th March at 9.30pm after his heart gave a fierce battle to stay alive. Mighty Mouse as he was known in the mid 50's at Hoyts Fremantle matinees met his match. George had a fierce determination to win and to succeed. Very bright and loved sport. He was a much loved uncle of Caroline, Paul, Elizabeth, Simon and Justin and their children. Let's hope he is with is dearly loved mother Noel Lillian (nee Ranford) and great pal Albert. When you see the pink and blue colours remember George and our love for him. RIP.

Great memories of my mate and best man, our football days and the great times we enjoyed at interstate yearling sales. Our Thursday afternoon meetings at the Belair with AB and others were incredible. George, you always had a good horse.
