Sad to hear of the passing of my long time mate Jimmy, together at Swans, Played together with Jim and Neil Staniforth RIP at Bayswater Amatuers in 1958. The news of the day was that they were to marry Sisters Marie RIP and Julie. A loving partnership that never waned. God Bless Julie. The early Carpenters at the Club 60 yrs ago were Lance Bell and Jimmy and they built a couple of bedrooms on my little house on Walter Road, way back then.
