COSTELLO Paddy

Obituary Guest Book 7 Messages

COSTELLO

PATRICK (PADDY) JOSEPH

Paddy passed away peacefully on 7th April 2024 aged 97. Loving Husband of 68 years to Lena (93). Father to Maura, Liam, Nuala, Siobhan, Laurence and Patrick. Father-in-law to Mark, John, Jen and Karen. Grandfather to Laura, Kathryn, Shannon, Matthew and Jack.

COSTELLO

Patrick (Paddy) Joseph):

Dad, we all love you and are deeply saddened because this is the end of an era for us, your family, all your many friends and the community you impacted so deeply since arriving from Ireland in 1951.

You and Mum together became role models of how to succeed as Irish immigrants coming to Australia. You always put family and community first. You showed by example that by working hard, having a great deal of fun and living life on your terms you built a legacy with a family you loved and a large circle of lifelong friends. In our home, there was always a spare seat at the table, a welcome and a warm meal, supported by laughter and hospitality.

Thinking of the Costello and Higgins family at this sad time. They were a force to be reckoned with and always up for the craic. They had many stores but they will always be remembered for their huge support and contribution to the Irish community in Perth. Suaimhneas Síoraí Air.

Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.”

    PATRICK (PADDY) JOSEPH

Our sincerest and deepest condolences to Lena, his loving Wife and to his adoring Children Maura, Liam, Nuala, Siobhan, Laurence and Patrick.

Paddy's selflessness knew no bounds. Even to the point of sharing his home with children who had nowhere else to go. I was one of them. Paddy's guidance and advice to these children (young men) was legendary and life changing. Thank you for being there for us Paddy. You will not be forgotten. Selfless to the end.

    God Bless you Paddy. Norm
