COSTELLO HELENA (LENA)

Lena passed away peacefully on the 12th of April 2024 aged 93. Loving wife of 68 years to Paddy (deceased). Mother to Maura, Liam, Nuala, Siobhan, Laurence and Patrick. Mother-in-law to Mark, John, Jen and Karen. Grandmother to Laura, Kathryn, Shannon, Matthew and Jack.

Mum we love and will miss you and are devastated at your passing within a few days of Dad, but know that you would dearly want to be together again. You were such a big part of not only our lives but those of an extensive network of friends and the Irish community as a whole over the 68 years you called Australia your adopted home. You and Dad were a wonderful couple who impacted so many people and events over the years and you were held in high regard by all. As past presidents of the Irish Club both you and Dad worked tirelessly to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for members and visitors alike. Your hospitality was renowned and you both showed us by example how to care for and to open your hearts and arms to others to live your best life.

We wish you could have stayed with us but this was not to be.

We think Dad was whispering in your ear to "come be with me".
