My dearest wife, Jeannie. You're the woman who Ioved so very dearly, and the 4 years that have passed hasn't changed that one little bit. I was so blessed to share 59 years with you, and so very proud to be your husband. I miss you every day, sounds silly, but I speak to you every day as well. When I look at your picture, that old song often comes to mind.... If those lips could only speak, and those eyes could only see!!!!! My darling sweet Jeannie, you will always be in my heart.

    My beautiful Mum,

Four years now since He took you home and as the world changes from year to year the one constant is the beautiful memory I have of your love. I know I can’t have your worldly body back but you are always resting right inside my heart and knowing that you are at peace and no longer suffering is my medicine. Love you always, Jenny 💕☝️💕

Hello my beloved mum, there are good memories and unpleasant ones, and right now are the latter ones for me as I remember so vividly, as if it was yesterday, the day you left us 4 years ago. I know you are free and happy in your forever home, but I feel so much aching in my heart, as I long for your warmth and love, and just to hold you again. But I'll tell you something Mum, your little family here are bonded in love and support for each other- just as you would like us to be, and of course we still have our lovely weekly get-togethers. Sometimes when we talk about you, we laugh, and sometimes we cry, but you are always in our midst, and you continue to live in us all. Do you know what Mum, little things are just as memorable and special as the big things, whenever I spread a piece of bread I can hear you saying "make sure you spread to all the edges " so if David leaves a dry edge, woe betide him! When I write the number 2, it is exactly like yours, so you see you're just in everything, and I love it! The angels are so fortunate to have you now my treasure Mum, but my heart will continue to have a lonely empty place that could only be filled by you. Your loving daughter Susan 💖💖💖🌹

Well Mum, another Christmas has come and gone. Never been quite the same without you but we still all celebrate together because the glue that holds us all together (which is of course you) will always be strong. Merry Christmas up there in heaven with the angels. Loving and missing you always.

My dearest sweet Jeannie, it has been 3 years to the day since I stood at this spot, as we laid you to rest. As I stood there and looked at your smiling face on the headstone, so many memories came flooding back. I thought of our 6 grandsons carrying you to this resting place, and just how proud you were of those fine young men, they did it wonderfully and willingly, for you and me, and I was so thankful and proud that they wanted to do it. Then as the sun shone on the flowers, I thought of your beautiful sunshine smile, that infectious laughter, that warm embrace, that wonderful love we shared for so many years. You will forever live in my heart my darling.

Thank you my beautiful wife, for loving me.

    My dearest, sweet Jeannie,

Three years have gone by, since Jesus took you home to glory: you are so sorely missed, I have a wound in my heart, that cannot be healed.

Words can't express just how I feel; because that's truly impossible.

This poem comes close to how I feel.

    Still I hear those voices

    From a long time ago.

    I see so many faces

But not the one I love and know.

I walk the same old streets,

Hear your footsteps just the same.

How I'd love to wake tomorrow

And walk with you once again.

Just to look into your eyes

And tell you about my day.

It's those little things I miss

Since the day you went away.

I now pray to God in heaven

to keep you in his care,

to comfort you and heal this hurt

until the day I meet you there.

    Your loving husband, Wally

My precious sweet Jeannie, time is passing so quickly; this will be the third Christmas spent without you to share it with. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful and supportive family, a wonderful legacy you left me. But I miss you so very, very much my darling wife. They say time heals, but that's a myth invented by someone who had no clue about true love, one that molds two people into one.

Christmas now is bitter sweet, when sharing with family, there's always that beautiful smile, and laugh missing.

I will always love you my precious wife.

Although it's two years since the Lord took you home,

    But now there's no reply.

    I always feel you presence

As if you never left my side.

    I remember your comforting voice.

    Now there's not a sound.

    Only echoes from the past

    Follow me round.

    You're always by my side,

but I can't hold your hand.

I know the Lord God took you

And now your in His hand.

    Summer days seem much shorter.

    Dark nights just linger on.

    Dreams turn into nightmares

When the one you love has has gone.

    Your spirit will never die

    It shines like the stars.
