We had just arrived from SA in 1973 when we met at the Bilbarin Store. For the next 40 years plus we worked and socialised together as family and friends.

You were secretary of the Football Club and you asked me to be President. The club won a Premiership in 1976 and didn't we get in trouble, not enough drinks and food! How did we know we were going to win and the whole of Corrigin turn up?

We started to go dancing with the Clapp's and Rae's, what a wonderful time we had nearly every Saturday night travelling around seeing the light appear in the east on the way home after stopping for coffee.

Barry asked me to join Rotary and this was one of the most fulfilling things I have done in my life.

The ability to put words into poetry about what Barry saw on our trips away in Rotary, dancing or private, was amazing, had us in fits of laughter.

Chris and I will never forget Barry's friendship as it was under your arm twisting that the social events in our life started.

The community service that Barry provided for Corrigin was appreciated and will be surely missed by all.
