BRIGGS (PETER)

01.02.1939 - 31.05.2022 Handsome and loving Husband of Robin, together for 67 years, passed away with his Family beside him at SCGH on 31.05.2022. Patriarch to Jodie, Toni, Danny, Oscar, Lydia, Heidi, Sean, Honey and Minty. Our hearts are breaking with the loss of our mentor. A romantic, passionate, generous, optimistic, enthusiastic and determined man.

Your love and presence was all encompassing. Always a story to tell and adventure to be had. We will miss our Hero but his love is forever etched in our hearts.

  • BRIGGS PETER One of the last remaining founding fathers of the Bentley Driver's Club of WA, Chairman for life and passionate Bentley Boy. His dream was lads and ladies belting around in old Bentleys, scarves flying, goggles, leather caps, gloves and piles of outrageous fun. Peter never understood boring or else he totally ignored it. An amazing raconteur, lunch and dinner, the chink of a knife on glass, the lads singing jingle bells and then the stories as only he could tell. The truth never buggered up a good story. He had a wardrobe for every era, every car. An irreplaceable legend of the car movement, never to be forgotten. Such a proud, strong family man. Join you on a country road Pete. Robin and family, we encircle you.

  • BRIGGS PETER This week we lost another great Western Australian entrepreneur and raconteur.

Briggsie, as he was known to his sailing mates at RPYC, will be sadly missed as a dear friend and sailing competitor to many but to me I will always cherish our lunches or catch up drinks together where we shared many stories on our love of sailing adventures and yacht races, cars and property deals dating back to the 80's.

We'll miss you a lot Pete and our love and prayers go out to Robin, Heidi, Jodie and the grandkids.

My dear Toad, as you said to Kenneth Grahame "well perhaps I am a bit of talker a popular fellow such as I am, my friends get around me, we chaff, we sparkle, we tell witty stories and somehow my tongue gets wagging. I have the gift of conversation". Farewell Briggsie, much love and sympathy to Robin and the girls. Greg Ross
