BEGOVICH Tony

Obituary Guest Book 52 Messages

BEGOVICH ANTE (TONY)

Passed away peacefully after a stroke on the 3rd October 2021 aged 84 years.

Son of Dane and Iva (both dec). Beloved brother of Jure (dec), Branko, Mirjana, Zvonko, Davor, Miro, Dobro, Nada, and Jadran.

Loving husband of Mary, dearest father of Branko and Eric and dearest father-in-law of Martha.

We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for their compassionate and professional care.

You will be dearly missed by family and friends and stay in our hearts forever.

BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

My dearest husband, I am devastated you have left me so suddenly. You came to this country in 1959 with only a suitcase in your hand. We were married for 60 years and established a successful business we started 50 years ago, created a family of two wonderful boys Branko and Eric. They are completely devastated you're gone so suddenly, you were their rock, mentor, father and everything. I will try to gather the strength to be as strong as I can for them, to continue on, without your life being in it. You will never know how much you will be missed by me and the boys, daughter-in-law Martha (Debbie), and everyone in the packing shed. I have many treasured memories that I will keep close to my heart, so my dearest husband until we meet again I love you and will miss you forever.

Your heartbroken, loving wife Mary xxx

BEGOVICH ANTE (Tony):

In loving memory of my dearest Dad and mentor, thank you for everything you did for me over the years. From my childhood days to my adult years, for the support you lovingly gave. How time changes the roles we played, in my childhood days you were the one that would take me to school, do our weekly shopping after school and, on our trips to the garden nursery to collect plants, pickup fertilisers and supplies.

In my adult years we continued to work together but had found that the roles had changed. In your later years I would drive you to the shops, doctor's appointments and anywhere else that you needed to go. Over the years we all continued to live and work together supporting each other until the final days the stroke took hold and ended all of this. Thank you for being a wonderful caring Dad and everything that you did for us - you will always be missed and loved and stay in my heart forever.

Your loving, broken hearted son Branko.

BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

Dearest Dad,

You were taken from us so suddenly and far too soon. No words can express the heartbreak I am feeling, I can't imagine life without you. You were my loving, respected Dad, friend and mentor. You taught me so much in life and in business, you were the best father/teacher a son could have. As a child we were inseparable, everywhere you went I wanted to follow and did so. I would get upset if you left without me, especially if going to the metropolitan markets. We worked and lived together all my life, never a day passed that we didn't see each other. My heart breaks knowing that we won't be seeing each other everyday.

Over the years you earned the respect of many throughout the industry. Highly regarded and respected by the Compass Group (Aust) for your honesty, loyalty and service throughout the last 50 years. You were successful in everything you did, left us a legacy that will live on, a true hard worker and loved proud father. You always cared about your family and others. Part of me has gone with you, following wherever you go.

Thank you for being a tremendous Dad, looking after and always being there for me.

Love you always your heart broken son Eric.

BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

Dearest Cha Cha (Dad)

You were such a wonderful man. You looked after and treated me like your own daughter, always caring, with love and respect, even before I became your daughter-in-law. You welcomed me to the family and were so happy to have me as part of it. I was blessed to have you as my father-in-law.

I can't put into words everything you've done for me even if so small for you, very special for me.

You knew which fruits I liked (even though you didn't like them) which you would often bring from the markets for me. I will miss the times I would say "I'm going Cha Cha", you would reply with a smile, "where are you going?" I would reply, "to my family or friends". You would always offer and say take them some fruit. You were so caring, always cared about me, my family, friends and others. I have not only lost one father but now have lost two. You have left a large void in my heart and many cherished memories. I never knew I could shed a river of tears. Thank you for being a part of my life, love you always, forever in my heart.

Your broken hearted daughter-in-law Martha (Debbie).

With sadness in my heart, a final farewell to my brother Ante. A life well lived. Taken suddenly.

Remembering our wonderful and challenging childhood days in our beautiful mountain village of Rastovci. Our close relationship has continued into our time in Australia.

You were my huge source of inspiration and encouragement. I am forever grateful for all the support you gave me over the years, giving me my first home on my arrival to this country and driving me everywhere and anywhere I had to go.

A humble man, rich in qualities words cannot describe, always considering someone else before yourself. I am filled with admiration at the way many companies in the industry regarded you highly and the advice you gave, reflecting that your help to the company was more important than your own profit margin. My heartfelt sympathy to my sister-in-law Mary, my nephews Branko and Eric and Martha and all loved ones here and in Croatia.

Ante, you have crossed the flowing river to a shore that is evergreen.

I will lovingly remember you every day. Branko.

Zbogon dragi Brate, Pocivaj u miru Bozijem
    BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

Dearly loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of Zvonko and Iva. Heartfelt sympathy to our sister-in-law Mary, Branko, Eric, Martha and all families here and in Croatia on the sudden loss of our loved one.

We will be forever grateful for the brotherly support, guidance and assistance afforded to us over the years since our arrival in Australia.

Brate, you will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts.

    BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

Fond memories of Striko Ante. Our condolences to aunty Mary, Branko, Eric and Martha. Lovingly remembered by Sue, Leigh and Jack Powling (Melb).

Sadly we cannot be with you at this difficult time.

    BEGOVICH Ante (Tony):

In sadness we are caught in the web of remembrance of our beloved brother, brother- in-law, uncle and friend who suddenly passed away giving us no time to say goodbye. A hard working, kind, generous, jovial, larger than life character who always gave much more than he took and one we were blessed to have had in our lives. Ante welcomed me into his home on my arrival in Australia and gave unconditional love and support that he later extended to my family.

Heartfelt sympathy to our sister-in-law Mary, nephews Branko, Eric and Martha, and all loved ones here and in Croatia.

Many happy memories will have a special place in the hearts of Dobro and Miryana; Nadija, Daniel and Tijana; Adriana, Brett and Evie.
