Wally was a great contributor on WALGA and an all round great guy. He also had a great wealth of experience in the police force with an amazing store of anecdotes. Will be sorely missed.

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of our great supporters, Lion Wally. Through his Annual Walk for Sight he raised many thousands of dollars for our Foundation and served as a Director on our Board. We extend our condolences to Anne and family.

The President, past and present State Councillors, CEO and staff of the WA Local Government Association wish to extend their condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Wally Barrett on his recent passing.
Wally was a dedicated and passionate contributor to Local Government in WA and to his local communities within the Shire of Murray and the Peel region.
