Matt, you went beyond the traditional view of a coach. Your insight into our lives and application of a multi disciplinary intellect, revolutionised us individually and collectively, and thus elevated our club from a University fraternity to earning world class status.

Whether members were achieving a club or a world championship level, your deep commitment to personally developing us has left a legacy so profound. Eternal love, respect and gratitude.

  • BARBER MATT My deepest condolences to Matt's family, he was a very special man to say the least. Although I have not seen Matt for many years, his influence remains with me to this day. He was many things to me, a friend, a coach, a mentor and I know I would never have achieved what I did all those years ago without him. Some of my best memories are of some of the ridiculous situations we would find ourselves in after a session at Steves or whatever drinking hole we chose that day. He touched many people in his life and was a coach with amazing perception. Goodbye Matt, it's hard to say thanks for so much.
