ALVES JOHN (JAO)
Born in the island of Azzores on 18.9.1945, Portugal. Passed away 15.3.2020 aged 74 in the emergency ward of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital at 5:50pm. Married first time in Perth 1975, divorced after eight years. John had a son Gavin born in November 1976. We were married on 20th September 2014 and had no children. Gavin was John's only son, we tried to contact him through the Salvation Army but we weren't successful. John came to Australia in 1971 and has been an Australian resident for 49 years. He worked many jobs including up north with an electrical company called EPT, then as a rigger, bricklayer, labourer and gardener in Perth, WA. He was a member of the Line Dancing Country Club and the RSL, sub-branch of Nollamara. He was a war veteran and served in the infantry in Portugal from 1966 - 1969 and was awarded the Soldier of Honour certificate. John owned his own gardening business after he retired from up north from mid 1980 - 2000, was known in the Swap Meet in Balga, Girrawheen and all around metro Perth area. He later retired from his gardening business in 2006.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ENT Clinic E Block; Gastroenterology Clinic G Block; the Speech Pathology Clinic A Block and the Cancer Clinic in DD Block at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
My beloved husband, friend and companion forever faithful. From your beloved wife Susette who has been your carer all through your living days till the end and will be until we meet again one day. My darling John, goodbye and rest in peace. My dearest love of my life, I was blessed to know you and have met you while you lasted all these years.
