TAPLIN-LANE (HILDA ETHEL) 1907 - 1982 In loving memory of our gentle, loving and beautiful Mum and Nanny. Always in our thoughts and prayers. You were so strong to overcome being orphaned in 1918, bombed in the 1939-1945 war and widowed in 1946. You never complained, and said to me "there were thousands of orphans in 1918, due to the war and pandemic". We still remember the poems you were told by your Mum and Dad. All of us, Joan, Peter, Betty, Janet, Keith, Brian, Muriel, Margaret, Gloria and Rosie.

Through all the changing scenes of life, in trouble and in joy, the praises of my God's shall still my heart and tongue employ.

I talk to your photo everyday. Your gentle and loving face watches over me. Always missed and always remembered.
