MOORE (Tiger and Joy):
It is hard to believe that it is 20 years since our much loved father died, only seven months after his beloved wife Joy.
Tiger was a champion jockey who won over 2000 winners in a career that spanned thirty years. He won many group one races multiple times. He is often remembered for his association with the wonderful Aquanita. He loved horses and many of them returned the favour. He played off a low handicap at golf, won at lawn bowls, billiards and pretty well any sport he tackled. He loved life and was always ready to help friends and family.
Tiger loved his wife Joy from the beginning to the end - they were a team. It was a great shock to him when she died. Joy embraced her family and friends. A wonderfull mother who battled cancer with great strength and love. Joy (nee Lougheed) passed away in late 1991.
Tiger Moore died on May 14 1992 while out fishing on his boat Nicopolous. He died as he lived - embracing life.
His challenge to us all.
