FILMER Gilbert

FILMER (Gilbert) L.Cpl:
In memory of Gilbert Stevens Filmer of Katanning, 28th Battalion A.I.F. Killed in action 100 years ago, aged 34, in the first hours of his first battle, at Menin Road, near Ypres on the way to Polygon Wood, Belgium 20th September 1917.
Much loved husband of Cora Cornelius, father of Ralph and Dick, grandfather of Richard, Jocelyn, Helen and Cheryl. Although we never knew him, he is not forgotten.
