My beautiful little Mum, 2922 days without you.
I cried the day you passed away, I still cry today,
Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay.
God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be,
He wrapped His arms around you and whispered, "Come to me".
Your golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest,
God broke my heart to prove that He only takes the best.
I wish I could have some time with you to walk among the stars,
To hold your hand and see your face, and ask you how you are.
I'd tell you how things are going here and how I miss you so,
And then there'd be that moment when I'd have to let you go.
I'd tell you how I love you, and give you a kiss, and then,
I'd wish that heaven allowed visitors so I could see you once again.
