I've always thought about you Val through my life, Digby (RIP) my Best friend at Hansworth primary school. Had my back, stuck up for me when class were laughing at my purple cordial ankle freezer jeans and Jim boots. Digby threatened the whole class. No one said Boo! Dig was the biggest kid in the school I new right then he came from good stock, and he did. Staunch, Morales, kindness, honesty and respect! Just like his mother. Val when I met you, Dig told you about that day in class you turned around looked me up and down then with a smile said well you look solid in purple little jeans and gym boots, there in fashion now your gymmies. Now go with Dig and make yourselves a sandwich. High school no parents lived at my place everyone new, Val and Digby cared. Val made yum stews, I know because Digby every now and then would ride his bike to my place with a Tupperware container. Knock on my door and say mum said take this to your friend, she looks like she needs it. Well shes too skinny. When I brought the container back and thanked you just like that gymboot day you turn looked me up and down smiled and said well yr that skinny you need it more than me. Beautiful to me you were and beautiful you are. I love you and that smile you gave me way back then I still have it, I cherish it. It was a gift from you to me thank you Val. RIP love Dany xoxox🤗💖
