Dearest Melo, My heart is empty and sad, but it was time for you to leave. For 50 years we were together from sunrise to sunset. Together we experienced many joys and weathered hardships. When we got married you told me, 'We will go to Australia, then if God wants we will start a family'. And that's the way it happened. I believe that we will one day share our lives together again but for now watch over me from Heaven. Without you here it won't be easy but don't worry, with the help of our children, our daughter in law, son in laws and grandchildren my life will continue. Pray for us, ciao, ciao, ciao, ciao, ciao. Rest in Peace. Your loving wife Rosaria

Rest in Peace. Your loving wife Rosaria

    STRANO (Carmelo):

Dad, you provided for us and supported our journey, and while your life has come to an end, your words and actions will resonate with us forever. Love Pasquale, daughter- in-law Mandy and grandchildren Bowen, Dillon and Amelia.

    STRANO (Carmelo):

Seeing you leave us was hard, but seeing you live with us was heaven.

All the guidance and unconditional support you gave us, all the laughter you brought us. Sad to see you leave but happier we got to be with you. Love Maria, Paul and Jarrad.

    STRANO (Carmelo):

My Nonno wasn't just a Nonno to me, he was a friend. He caught me when I was falling, made me smile when I was crying. He was someone I didn't think I could live without, but life is full of horrible impossibilities.

    Love Jarrad

    STRANO (Carmelo):

Diligence, compassion, honesty and humour are the values I learnt from you Dad. I take comfort knowing the past weeks were happy weeks, filled with garden walks, sleepovers, late night cowboy movies, holding hands and that you passed surrounded by all our love.

Forever in our hearts. Francesca, Trevor, Lucia and Arlo

    STRANO (Carmelo):

Dad, the time we spent together will never be enough and our walks through the garden will be lonely without you. You held on for us and made sure Mum will be cared for. You will always be a pillar of strength in our lives and influence how we love and care for our family and friends. We love you beyond words. Caterina, Sandy, Charlie and Maya.

    STRANO (Carmelo):

Caro Papà, Our time together was always going to be too short. I am so grateful for the memories we shared and the lessons you imparted. We will miss you and your mischievous sense of humour. You held on for as long as you could but it is now time for you to rest and for us, as you would say, to ‘keep on going'. Ci vediamo Papà. Love you forever, Annunziata, Stephen and Michael Carmelo.
