The world lost a wonderful man this week. Thank you for welcoming our family into yours. We have so many fond, wonderful memories, my favourite being when you would take your beautiful wife into your arms and dance. You have been an incredible role model for your family and everyone who has been blessed to know you. You will be terribly missed, rest in peace. Sending our love and best wishes to the entire family. Carole and Sharon.

Bill, what an amazing man you are. We have such happy memories of each and every time we saw you - from the beginnings of Galaxy Enterprises, boat sharing, Naval Base, to BBQ's and glass or two. Thank you for always being wonderful and for brightening up everything around you.

You will be missed by many, but especially by dearest Joan and your great gang of kids. We know you'll be smiling over them and all of us.

With love from May Butko and Tony, Adele, Monica and  Rick and Trina.

It is with Great Sadness that we report the loss of Billy Sidebottom. Long Time Midland Old Boy, Swans Footballer and all round Good Guy. Billy in 2010 was Awarded the now much sought after "Gladstone Bag Award" for his services to the Midland District by the Old Boys Assn following our Inaugural Winner in Coach Extraordinaire Ron Jose back in 1992 and he joined a fine group of volunteers in all facets of Midland Life that have been recipients over the last 26 years. We must note that this year we have lost Gary, Davey, and now Billy Sidebottom, not forgetting the past in Wally Sidebottom. It must be said that the Family left their mark on "Monkey Town" Lest We Forget.... RIP

To hear your voice and see your smile,

To sit and chat for just a while,

To have you back in the same old way,

Would be our greatest wish today.

    WILLIAM (BILL)

My dear husband of 62 years. How lucky I was to be with you until the very end. When you turned to me and grabbed my hand so tightly with your last breaths, I felt all your love and energy move through me. Thank you for these final minutes. The strength in your hand to not let me go will be with me until we meet again. Thank you love, this final moment will be with me until we meet again. Thank you for being my best friend, my love, and for our 3 loving children, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. I know you are okay now, and I promise to try my best to be okay to. I am sorry I couldn't help you more and so broken and sad that I couldn't keep you longer. Thank you for making me your girl and loving me eternally. My love to you Bill, forever and always, your loving wife Joan

Our beautiful Dad and Pop, there are no words or enough space here to tell you how much we all love you. We will miss you, our daily cuppas, chats and big hugs so very much. You were our biggest supporter, always watching our footy and netball games and encouraging us with our studies and careers. You were the best Dad and Pop and strongest man we know. You loved us all so very much and we all looked up to you. God knew you were ready even though we weren't. We will look after Nanna, don't worry. Love forever.

Lee, Gary, Clint, Tara, Mike, Melissa, Liam and Buddy. xxxxxx

Dearest Dad and Pop. Oh my - where to from here. No words to express how full of sadness we are. Our thanks for our special days and family moments. Thank you for giving the kids unforgettable memories to reminisce and laugh about forever. A quick visit for a cuppa and chat would brighten your day. We know how happy and proud you were to see the kids and to share in their lives and listen to their plans for the future. We promise to do our best for Mum but we will never be able to fill the void that engulfs her now. Be restful Dad. Love to you today and always.

June, Wayne, Kristen, Michael, Cameron, Bek, Rhys and all the little ones.
