  • OGNENIS VASSILIKI (TSILA)

Passed away peacefully at SCGH on 3.8.19, aged 90.

Loving wife of George (dec), beloved mother and mother-in-law of Maria and Dimitrios, Tom (dec) and Christine, Chris and Lety.

Cherished Baba of Laz and Saree, Jamie and Sherron, Leanne and James, Matthew, Nicole, Samuel and Devaki, Benjamin.

Great Baba of Mason, Aiden, Rhys, Addison, Kimaya and Tiffany.

God saw that you were weary,

The hill too steep to climb,

He gently closed your tired eyes,

    And whispered "Peace be thine".

Our precious mother, words can never express the emptiness and sadness that we feel today. You were my rock, my anchor, my guiding light when the path to choose was unclear; and you were there for both of us with love, help and support, when we needed it most. I will miss our daily phone calls. Rest peacefully now darling, for you deserve it.

    Love Maria and Dimitrios.

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

With great sadness we farewell our mother-in-law, ‘mum' and Baba. A strong, independent woman who endured many tragedies in her lifetime but always remained resilient. We will miss our visits and always remember her unique sense of humour.

Rest in Peace. Love Tom (dec), Christine, Matthew and Nicole xxxx

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

Dearest Mum, you gave us many things in life, gifts both great and small, but most of all you gave us love, the greatest gift of all. There will always be an emptiness that you are no longer here, but also a joyfulness that we know you held us dear. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day you were peacefully welcomed home. Love today and always, Chris and Lety.

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

My Baba, I miss you so much already! You were so special to me, we shared a unique bond. Thank you for looking after me from Day One and until the end. You will never be forgotten. Go now be with Dedo and Uncle Tom. Until we meet again. Love Lazo, Saree and Mason.

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

Dear Baba, you touched each of us in our own special way and gave us valuable lifelong advice. You will be sadly missed but always remembered. Grandson Jamie, Sherron and Great Grandkids Aiden, Addison and Rhys.

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

Forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace, Baba. Sweet memories of biscuits and chocolates will be treasured always. Love Leanne, James, Kimaya and Tiffany Waters.

    OGNENIS Vassiliki (Tsila):

Dear Baba Tsila, thank you for being such a wonderful Baba, we were so lucky to have you in our lives. We will miss your love, wit and laughs so very much and we will carry you in our hearts forever. With our love, Samuel and Devaki, and Benjamin.
