One of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Being a Melbourne resident I didn't see as much of Simon as I would have liked. Even so, we developed a great friendship. I cannot express how sad I am and how deep my feelings go losing this great man. Whilst I haven't met his family, Simon spoke often and lovingly of them. My deepest condolences to them.

My most heartfelt condolences to all of Simon (Jenks) family. I am truly devastated to receive the late news of his passing but know he will live forever in my heart as a scholar, a gentleman and a true friend. The memories of the thousands of deliveries we bowled at each other in the nets down at Como High and the 100+ gigs we attended together at the Raffs are with me forever.

To the family of Simon Jenkins:

I am truly sorry for your loss. As a testament to Simon's strength of character and professional impact, Simon is the only outside counsel that I ever hired after being on the opposite side of a transaction (and I’ve been practicing law since 1990). I did not know him well, but Simon made a uniquely positive impression.

    Simon

You were one of my best mates through high school and I will never forget that friendship. We used to dig through the old car ashtray for change and pig out on HJ Whoppers after a night on the turps. For that you were always going to repay the favour as my Lawyer in later years. Thankfully I never really never needed that legal support. But I know when out paths cross again at the pearly gates I will need all the help in the world to get past Peter. This is when I will call in my favour for all those times.

In all seriousness mate, we drifted apart in our later years but you will always be in my memories.

  • JENKINS SIMON Tragic loss of a brilliant, much loved and respected son, father, friend and colleague.

Simon was a natural leader and mentor who loved nothing more than helping others attain their goals and potential.

A staunch ally and true friend, he gave tirelessly of his time and energy to help others.

Simon was passionate and fair-minded in law and all of his many interests and a champion on and off the sports field. If there was a ‘Best and Fairest' for life he would have won it years in a row, but he was a genuinely modest man.

Those who had the honour of knowing Simon will always miss his wit, wise counsel, kindness and strength.

Most of all, he was an adoring father who was so very proud of his wonderful children.
