  • FLEMING (Ronald):

Very sorry to hear that Ron has passed away. I have many great memories of trekking with Ron and Sara in Nepal. Ron had a narrow escape from death climbing Cho La Pass, almost hit on the head by a rock "the size of a house brick". The story passed over the phone had grown by the time we returned to a "rock as big as a house".

    Rest in Peace Ron.

So sad. I've been meaning to contact you to say gidday and see how you were going even as late as last week Mr Fleming. Worked with you for 11 years at Family Court. I often remember the funny times, the teasing, the guidance and learning from each other about life and what it throws at us. Was only talking to people about it this morning in my gallery. Am sure you are still out there enjoying yourself as you always did. Treasured memories. Condolences to Nat and all the family.

Much loved brother of Alison, brother-in-law of Geoffrey (dec) and uncle of Kylee and Kim. A special man who made a great contribution to his family and also in his work at the WA Family Court. He was a natural leader who without malice saw the best in others. He was devoted to Nan and Grampy, Ron (dec) and Valmai (dec). I'll miss you Ron - especially your wisdom and kindness. My condolences to all the family.

RONALD GRAHAM The Judges, Magistrates, Family Consultants and Registry staff of the Family Court of Western Australia were deeply saddened with the sudden passing of retired family law magistrate, Ron Fleming.

His honour served the Court from Deputy Registrar to Magistrate with distinction.

He was efficient in court process and wise in judicial findings.

Heartfelt sympathy to Natalie, children Alistair, Lauren and Sarah and the extended Fleming family.

Gone so soon but remembered so strongly in the corridors of Court.

You were always your own man, right to the premature end. Always true to yourself. Never pretentious.

A great Magistrate who always dealt with people under his authority with empathy and respect.

Thank you Son for 40 years of friendship. A great many of the very happiest moments of my life have been spent in your company.

We will all miss you dearly. Our lives are forever diminished by your passing.
