  • EVANS (Max):

Barbara, I just wanted share my condolence to you and your wider family. I was lucky enough to meet up with Max some years ago during one of my infrequent visits to Perth from my home in Toronto NSW. I was also pleased to talk to you both during Max's illness.

I was at Scotch from 1947 til 1954 and was the Troop leader in 1954.

I say with thanks that Max was an idol of mine and helped make me the man that I grew up to be.

Dearly loved husband of Barbara. Loving and caring father to Felicity, Peter, James and Richard. Grandfather to Amanda and Emma. You will be greatly missed by all the many people whose lives that you touched. He certainly filled "the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run".

Max was a great organiser while still a school boy, himself starting and running the Scotch College Boy Scout Troop and he trained us to run our troop by ourselves when he left for the world of work. He contributed much to our development and fun.

Best wishes to Barbara and family.
