My last stay was the day prior to your passing Dad and so wanted a hug before I left as knew your time was nearing – you were struggling - to walk, you were out of breath, asleep most of the time and having dreams about Mum - now with your “Pretty Girl” in peace. Miss you so - you were loved not just as a wonderful Dad but as a friend – you were my strength! Sorry if I disappointed you! Forever in our hearts, love always, Jen and little Scooby xOx
My sincere condolences Peta, Craig and Jenny ,
Gordon was one of my favourite persons and we always kept in touch by phone. He rang me on Thursday 23rd and I was in Bunnings and said I would ring him back and he said that next day would be Fine. He was bright and cheerful at the time. It is a phone call that I will always regret not making.
GORDON LINDLEY JOE Died suddenly at home on 24 May 2019, aged 88 years. Devoted and loving husband of Jacqueline (Jacky); beloved father of Peta, Craig and Jenny; father-in-law of Russell (dec) and Trina; grandfather of Alexis and Dylan, and their partners Nathan and Kaela; great grandfather of Leilani; son of Tom and Bertha (both dec); brother of Bonny (dec), Roderick (dec), Poppy (dec) and Molly. Although none of his loved ones were with Gordon when he died, there is comfort knowing he did not suffer and that he is now reunited with his beloved ‘pretty girl', Jacqueline. His legacy will live on in his grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan, and newborn great granddaughter, Leilani. Gordon will be loved and remembered forever.
EARNSHAW GORDON Mate, we miss you already but I kow mum will be smiling. Dad (Gordy), you go to your "pretty girl" Jackie and take eternal care of her. Craig and Trina, Alexis, Nathan and Leilani, Dylan and Kaela.
GORDON LINDLEY JOE You were my Hero, 'Gordy',
You were my Daddy and Friend.
I was privileged to hold you,
After the end.
Your 'Pretty Girl' Angel came,
And took you away,
To have that last waltz,
On Your final day...
Your loving daughter Peta.
