It’s with great sadness I learn of John’s passing.A man of integrity and unsurpassed intellect.
I met John when I was young 43 years ago.
I learnt back then from John that there was only one way to do something, the proper and correct way. I was fortunate enough to have John as a mentor and teacher later on when studying for my license to practice. I recall he had a mind like a steel trap with a seemingly never ending wealth of knowledge. Did I pass? Yes of course I did thanks to John instilling the ethics of hard work and practice, practice, practice. Ironically the first large project I embarked upon was our own factory in Osborne Park. Guess who the inspector was John went through everything and after what seemed an eternity looked at me with a wry smile and said “so you were listening “. A great experience and endorsement from someone who I respected and admired.
Condolences to your family John
May you Rest In Peace
