BERKAVICIUS (Albert ):
It’s goodbye to “uncle” Albert- a man of consummate humour, great intellect and generosity of spirit. He was a rock to my family over the years, and shared the bittersweet legacy of an immigrant to Australia with my late father Kjeld Pedersen. He was such a supportive friend to my father and mother, Caroline.
He was the last to go of the whisky drinking “HiFi Trio” of Joe Emerich, Kjeld and Himself- three from the old country that could solve all of the world’s problems with whisky, wit and “a big enough gun”. They were “old school” but deeply caring.
To me he was a legend of great proportion. He revealed the mysteries of physics, engineering and computing; of travel, dance opera and performance. Most importantly was his vivacious taste in music of any kind- but for me he was the window into jazz.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with his friends and family.
Our apologies for missing his funeral as we were in Canberra.
Condolences to all; play some Louis for them up in heaven.
Albert, dear beloved friend we are going to miss you. Our Sundays will not be the same having coffee and cake and talking about all the things that were close to us. Having known you for such a long time we were blessed with your knowledge and history.
May you Rest In Peace. Blow your train whistle as loud as you can.
From John, Izabella, Adrian and Izabella Witt.
Passed away peacefully on 4th April 2019 aged 94. Beloved husband of Virginia (dec), father of Dagmar, Lynette, Robert, Ingrid (dec) and Paul.
Founder of Albert's TV & HiFi Centre Perth, and engineer extraordinaire.
At peace at last after an amazingly full and productive life.
A much admired and long time friend of Dale who will be sadly missed especially on Mondays. Condolences to his family. Rest in peace Albert. Dale.
