I am very sad to hear of Antonia's passing. She was an inspirational woman, with an awe-inspiring intellect and a warm and compassionate personality. Thank you Antonia, for being such a wonderful role model to women in medicine.

Toni, Ann has just told me that you have died. It is many years since we shared time together. We enjoyed a fun holiday exploring Dartmore and the West Country. We were both training at St Georges Hospital, London, happy days, happy memories. Our paths went very different ways, in different countries , and different careers. Remembering you fondly .

Our paths crossed very often, in the UK, at work and in Kenya, Zambia, Australia and here in NZ. A lovely faithful, long friendship with shared interests and causes to follow. We two met at Antonia's 21st party and are still together 59 years later much helped by her kindly friendship. You did much good. Enjoy your rest.
